Jays intentionally lose to win and claim district championship
It was one of the most bizarre endings anyone has ever seen in high school baseball on Friday evening. Guthrie intentionally walked three consecutive Deer Creek batters in the bottom of the seventh inning to purposely lose 8-7. However, with the one-run loss, Guthrie claims a district championship and the top seed for next week’s regional. Read more…

Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena eased their way to the conference championship in No. 1 doubles action before facing a tough Deer Creek opponent. As expected, it was a battle to the end with the Lady Jays coming away with the 7-6, 7-5 win. Read more…
