The month of December was not the best for the Guthrie Lady Jays basketball
program as they finish the month 0-5 with their last loss coming from Western
Heights in Oklahoma City.
Guthrie got two players to score in double figures, but was not enough as the
Jets handed the Lady Jays a 47-39 loss.

Sophomore Mikaela Murillo scored a team high 12 points and junior forward
Allyson Chadd was just behind her with 10.
Guthrie was outscored in each quarter except for the third quarter as once again
got off to a slow start with just eight points in the first period and 13 in the
first half. Guthrie trailed 22-13 at the break.
However, the Lady Jays pulled within three after the third quarter with a 17-11
run, but Western Heights distanced themselves in the final quarter.
The Lady Jays will hit the practice court over the holidays and will not be back
in action until January 5th when they travel to Noble.
