The Lady Wildcats put the game away a few minutes later with a run of their own. A 9-2 run over a span of 5:40 sealed the deal.

Kacey Acker finished as the high scorer for Guthrie and was named the Farmers and Merchants Bank Player of the Game with 15 points. Acker scored 10 in the first meeting with Piedmont.

Guthrie held an 11-10 advantage after the first quarter, but saw Piedmont tie the game at the half by making two of three free throws with no time remaining on the clock.
