Guthrie's two game winning streak was snapped by the Piedmont Wildcats, 37-26, Friday evening in Piedmont.
The Lady Jays could manage just three points in the first quarter, but allowed just eight to Piedmont, but the Lady 'Cats created some space and went into the half up 21-10.
Senior post Jessica Peacock, coming off a career high 26 points Tuesday evening, was held to just six points. Leading the Jays offensive charge was Alexis Daniels with seven points.
Out of the halftime break, Guthrie played Piedmont evenly with both teams scoring 16 points.
Guthrie falls to 3-8 on the season and Piedmont, who plays in Class 4A, improves to 5-6. Guthrie returns to the Guthrie gymnasium as they go up against the Deer Creek Lady Antlers. The Creek has won both match-ups this season.
