Well, its safe to say the Carl Albert Lady Titans are indeed one of the best teams in Class 5A. The Lady Titans flexed their muscles on the Guthrie Lady Jays, Thursday evening, by giving Guthrie their worse loss in recent memory, 71-20.
Carl Albert jumped out to a 19-1 lead in the games first 6:44 with all the points coming in the blue paint. Juniors Kylie Mayes and Desiree Bradley led the charge with 28 points combined before sitting out the majority of the second half.
The third ranked Titans (17-3) held a 25 point lead at the half, 39-14, and outscored Guthrie 15-4 in the third period.
The Lady Jays will turn around this afternoon (Friday) and will face Noble at 4:00. The game will be played at Deer Creek.
