Track finishes up final indoor meets

Guthrie competed in the Enid Indoor meet and will now move outside

The Guthrie BlueJay track team finished fifth overall while the Lady Jays finished 12th in the final indoor meet of the season, at Enid, on Friday February 12th.

 

Edmond Santa Fe won the event on the boys side with 153 points. Guthrie was fifth with 36 total points.

 

Leading the way for the Jays individually was Emanuel Robinson with a first place finish in the 55 meters with a time of 6.51. In the same event, senior Dustin Bohanan came across third in a time of 6.69.

 

Robinson brought home a second place finish in the 55 meter hurdles in a time of 7.66.

 

In the longer events, Jared Ogan crossed the line in seventh place in 2.07.4 in the 800 meter, and Jason Ogan was second in the 1600 with a time of 4.41.43. Zach Cates followed 18 seconds later.

 

Jonathan Ogan, coming off an impressive meet the previous week, ran the 3000 meter in a time of 9.53.

 

The 4x8 team of Jared Ogan, Jason Ogan, Cates, and Alex Doric finished fifth with a time of 8.33.19.

 

For the Lady Jays Rachel Roberts finished second with a time of 2.30.36 in the 800 meters and was sixth in the 400 with a time of 66.19.
