The Guthrie BlueJay tennis team got their first team tournament win on the year and did it in fine fashion by winning their own 89'er Tournament held at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center on April 10th. The Lady Jays placed second behind Duncan.
Daniel Breedlove and Hank Hudson placed first in No. 1
doubles by defeating Kingfisher in the first round 6-1, 6-0 and then beat
William Bohanan and Josh Wehrenberg also placed first in No.
2 doubles competition by going 3-0. The team defeated
For the Lady Jays in both singles and doubles competition each played for the 89'er championship both fell short in the four matches.
Brittney Berryman, at No. 1 singles, defeated Kayla Crawford
6-0, 6-0 and then beat Victoria Rausch from Norman North 6-4, 6-, but lost to
