The first season of the Brian Jackson era came to an end in regional play held in El Reno. The Guthrie softball program ends the season with a 12 and 20 season.

Guthrie as well as many Oklahoma softball teams saw a good portion of their September schedule washed away due to the rainfall the state has seen.

The Lady Jays fought hard in their opening play-off game with the Lady Antlers of Deer Creek High School and almost got the upset win, but fell 2-0.

In their first elimination game, Guthrie took it to Southeast in a 12-0 shutout win, in which, set up another Guthrie/Deer Creek match-up after Deer Creek was handed their first loss from El Reno.

However, Deer Creek separated them from Guthrie and picked up the 10-0 win.

El Reno went on to win the regional and advances to the state tournament.
