The Guthrie Lady Jays picked up their second win in three attempts with a win over Frontier, 4-3.
Head coach Shelley Berryman's team improve to 2-1 thus far into the Perry Summer League while Frontier dropped to 0-2.
The Lady Jays would allow just one hit on the day and would collect five hits of their own.
Guthrie and Frontier would put up goose eggs in the first inning, but both collected a run each in the second inning.
The third inning saw more offense only this time by the Lady Jays only with three runs and took a 4-1 lead into the fourth.
The last inning witness Frontier scratching two runs to pull within a run, 4-3, but Guthrie would put on the brakes to collect the win.
The Lady Jays will be back in action on Monday when they take on Morrison, Ponca City, and a opponent to be named later. The three games will begin at 5:00 in Perry.
