The Guthrie Lady Jays golf team won the Suburban Conference tournament, last Thursday, on their home course at Cedar Valley. The win represents their first win since 2001 and is the second conference championship.
Guthrie was lead by McCandren Lewis with a second place finish and Kacey Acker's fourth place finish according to head coach Mike Longstreth
Earlier in the week the girls
finished second at the Midwest City golf tournament held at John Conrad Golf
Course. Lewis was second and
Acker finished sixth.
Jasmine Linvill and Brittany Ochs were the other team member that contributed to
the victory.
