The Guthrie sixth grade Bluejays finished their 2012
football season with a trip to the Championship
Finals where they finished runner-up in the 16 team
Deep Fork Valley Conference.

Grade school football
teams end their season
District 5A-2 was talked about all year-long
as the best football district in the state and
no doubt in 5A. With four very good teams,
Guthrie came away with the district’s most
valuable player.

The start of the 2012 season started with a bang for
Guthrie's junior Kai Callins, but his season came to
a crashing end in the first half of the season
opener.

Western Heights, but came out in the second half
with 20 points to secure the win.

ghosts of defensive dominance of the Guthrie
BlueJays may have spooked the 2012 football squad
early in the first scrimmage of the season, but
defensive coordinator Kelly Beeby quickly jumped in

offense that many were excited to come out and watch
the scrimmage with
Douglass and Bishop Kelley, but a majority of the

Guthrie preparing for scrimmage on Friday
The BlueJays will begin afternoon work-outs this week as
they prepare for the upcoming scrimmage against Bishop
Kelley and Douglass at Langston University.
The three-way scrimmage will begin at 6 p.m.
