The defending state champions were back at on Saturday morning with their first Passing League of the summer as the Guthrie BlueJays get set for the upcoming season.
Guthrie, Midwest City, and Kingfisher high schools met at the BlueJay practice field on a beautiful morning with a nice cool wind.
Each team would alternate on defense while the two offensive teams alternated after each play with their offensive.
Passing leagues allow the receivers and quarterbacks to work on their route's and the terminology of the game. On the other side of the ball, defenses can also work on their personnel as well as their schemes and terminology.
Guthrie will get back to action next Saturday at the practice field for a 9:00 start and admission is free. Guthrie continues with their M.X.T.E work-outs everyday of the week except on Wednesday.
