Keaton Callins re-writes Jays record book

By: Chris Evans

2008 senior quarterback quarterback Keaton Callins is part of the all-time winning class in Guthrie Football, and to go along with that has passed for more yards and touchdowns then any other Guthrie BlueJay.

Callins, who played a major part of the school's 2007 state championship, became the all-time passing quarterback for a single season and career, as well as the all-time touchdown passer in BlueJay history passing Brent Hodge, who threw for 1,603 yards in 2004.

Callins finishes his senior campaign with 2,352 passing yards and a career of 3,544 passing yards. A career that can be summed up in about a year and half. Callins shared the quarterback spot with Kye Staley in the '07 title season. Callins finishes his career by completing 63% of his passes (219-348).

Callins, also set the record for most touchdowns thrown for in a single season and career. In 2008, Callins threw for 31 scores and 16 more scores in 2007 to finish with 47 total.
