Jays finish with 2-1 record against Irish

The freshmen and junior varsity teams traveled to McGuinness, Monday night, and came back with a split decision. The varsity open the season with a 21-3 win.

The freshmen started the night with a 12-6 win. Landry Chappell scored the first touchdown and Hayden Seifert ran the ball in for the Jays other score. Defensively, Trent Blakley had a solid game and Zack Brown recovered a fumble in the win.

The JV lost in the last 3:30 minutes, 12-0, in a defensive struggle with a turnover to give McGuinness the ball deep in BlueJay territory for the second and decisive touchdown.

More game details hopefully to come!

Both squads return back to action Monday when they entertain El Reno inside Jelsma Stadium with the freshmen kicking off at 5:30 and the JV following the game around 7:00.
