Jays are streaking and everyone is looking

By: Chris Evans

The top-ranked Guthrie BlueJays are currently riding a 20-game winning streak and along the way the Jays have encountered some great numbers during this run. Of course, the biggest accomplishment is a state championship and a mind focus of improving each week during this current season. But let's give some credit where it is due because will we ever see a streak like this again? Might as well enjoy it, right?

In the 20-games, Guthrie has piled up 10 shut-outs and has held their opponent to 10-points or less in 16 games.

The combined score during the run is 970-121 which averages out to 48-6 a contest. Guthrie has won 11 games inside Jelsma Stadium, seven games on the road, and two on neutral fields.

Perhaps more impressive is the Jays have only trailed in three games in the last 20-games for a total of 7:44. Carl Albert 5:57 (last season), Shawnee for :05 (last season in play-offs) and Durant 1:42 (this season) all had leads over the Jays.
