Foster, who was the only wide receiver up for the award, finished his senior campaign with 51-catches for 938 yards and 14 touchdowns. Foster finished with more yards receiving and touchdown catches then anyone else in 5A. He also had two rushes on the year and both went for touchdowns. Foster was joined by his parents and Guthrie head coach Rafe Watkins at the formal gathering.

Foster, who had numerous of athletic catches in double and triple teams, had perhaps the biggest highlight play of the season and best known as "The Catch". In the first game of the 2008 season, on state wide television, Foster made a one handed catch against McGuinness as he soared in the air against the double team to reel in the catch. The highlight has been seen nearly 3,000 times on YouTube. Follow this link for the amazing catch: http://www.guthriesportspage.com/Videos/2008%20Feature/Donte'%20Catch.htm
