Senior Chaunsey Dumas was a shot blocking machine in the first half, knocking three out of the field of play, including a monster block that ended up in the fifth row.

Third quarter saw the Blue Jays start a 4-0 run to tie the game. Moore and Mustain helped corral the offense for El Reno and kept it tight. Fighting back though, as El Reno regained the lead 33-31 with 1:30 left, McDonald was doubled down low; found Murillo who fed it back to McDonald for the easy duce to tie the game up at 33 apiece.  Guthrie scored to take a 35-33 lead at the end of the third quarter, it led to the 13th different lead change of the night.

However, the 14th lead change proved to the difference and the last when Moore got a steal and took it for the layup and lead, 37-35, with seven minutes remaining.  After a made El Reno basket, Brothers would get to the free throw line, and hit one of two. That cut the El Reno lead to 39-36.

Chris Mustain, who scored 11 points alone in the final quarter, was able to hit a running basket, putting the Indians up five. Brothers would come back; hit a jumper to cut it to three points with five minutes to go in the ball game. Mustain scored six in a row before Guthrie was able to score to cut it to five at 45-40 with 2:30 remaining.

A key play happened after getting an El Reno stop. El Reno got the ball on a turnover and was able to score on the next basket, pushing the score to 47-40.

Gross was called for a foul on the next possession sending Johnson to the free throw line. Johnson sinked both free throws. With 2:07 remaining, Guthrie went into desperation mode.
