The question has been asked all season long. Who is going to be the third scorer for the top ranked Guthrie BlueJays? That question was answered Friday evening for at least one night.

Guthrie (20-2) took advantage of shooting 67% in the first period to open up a 19-3 lead and a 23-8 first quarter lead. Senior sharp shooter Keaton Callins added eight first quarter points and finished the night with 16 points by shooting four of five from 3-point land.

Shawnee (15-8) outscored the Jays 18-12 in the second period, but could not draw any closer then seven points on multiple occasions for the remainder of the game. Shawnee shot a very respectable 48% from the field, but the Jays shot 67% for the game.

The Jays opened the game wide open in the third period by making 11 of their 12 shots with multiple runs that included 6-0, 7-0, and 8-0 to lead 59-36 after three quarters of play. During the 7-0 run, Brothers would collect

all seven points.

Projected Class 5A Player of the Year Donte' Foster added 17 points as 10 different BlueJays scored in the newly built Shawnee Event Center.

Guthrie returns to the hardwood Monday for the regular season finale in El Reno. The game was rescheduled earlier this month after inclement weather. Tip time is set for 7:00 and can be heard on Triple Play Sports 105.1 and GuthrieSportsPage.com.
