Foster continues to pile up awards

Well, here we go again. Guthrie senior Donte' Foster has been named Player of the Year in District I given out by the Oklahoma Boys Basketball Coaches Association.

 

Foster, who has won two state basketball titles, two high jump state titles, and one football state championship, has been named Co-Player of the Year in the Suburban Conference, 5A Player of the Year by the OBCA, Oklahoma Coaches Association Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player in the 5A state tournament and McGuinness Tournament.

 

Foster was also a McDonald's All-American finalist for the state of Oklahoma on the hardwood. Foster is expected to be name to other lists in the coming weeks.

 

Along with the basketball honors Foster was a consensus All-State wide receiver selection and will play in the Oil Bowl football game against Texas. Guthrie head coach Rafe Watkins will be the head coach for team Oklahoma.
