Guthrie senior and playmaker Donte' Foster grows closer to a future decision on where he will go to college and what ball he will be playing with.
Teammate
and friend Keaton Callins knows what he will be doing next season when he hits
the gridiron for Northwestern St and fights for a quarterback job.
But,
on Thursday night, they suited up together and participated in the 2009 Large
School All-City basketball game at Putnam City West High School and reminded a
lot of people across the state as to why the Guthrie BlueJays have won
back-to-back state championships.
Foster led the West team with a game high 18-points while his buddy Callins chipped in with double figures as well with 11. However, the East won the four quarter battle 105-82.
Callins also participated in the 3-Point contest and finished with 13-points and was good enough for second place with the winner walking away with a score of 14.
Del City's female splendid athlete, Toni Young, won the slam dunk contest that was held during the boys halftime.
Foster and Callins will also be teammates again on June 13th when they gather up with the rest of the best Okie football players and travel to Wichita Falls and play the best from Texas in the annual Oil Bowl. Skyler Smith and coaches Rafe Watkins and Kelly Beeby will join Callins and Foster on the team.
Foster will also participate in both the Oklahoma Coaches Association's football and basketball games along with the Faith 7 basketball game this summer.
Callins will take part in the OBCA All-Star Weekend at Oklahoma Baptist University and the All State game at Oral Roberts on July 30th.
