Guthrie headed back to Carl Albert

The last rankings that "count" are in and the Guthrie BlueJay baseball team is going back to Carl Albert for regional play as they did a season ago.

The Carl Albert Titans have spent time on top of the Class 5A rankings this season and had won 23 games in a row before being halted on the road at Deer Creek. Meanwhile, the Jays have won 11 of their last 13.

Carl Albert is the overall top seeded team from the West and Tulas Kelley is in the East.

Guthrie (15-13) will host the Titans (28-4), on Tuesday, for a regional preview of the one and two seeds of Regional I. Regionals and State are played with double elimintation.

Guthrie was 1-2 in the Carl Albert Regional last season.

Chickasha is the No. 2 seed, Deer Creek is the No. 3 seed, and Shawnee is the No. 4 seed. The Top four seeds will host regional play and all four come from the Suburban Conference.

All Guthrie BlueJay baseball play-off games will be broadcasted on Triple Play Sports 105.1 FM and streamed live on Guthrie Sports Page.

The East side hosts are Tulsa Kelley, Bixby, Coweta, and Collinsville.

Class 5A Regionals - Each regional winner will advance to the Class 5A State Tournament to be played at Broken Arrow, Jenks, and Drillers Stadium in Tulsa.

West

At Chickasha: Chickasha, Ardmore, Altus, Northeast/Classen
At Deer Creek: Deer Creek, Duncan, Noble, Northwest
