Three Jays return as State medalists

Alex Nelson, Conner Howard and Blake Finley each took third place in the 2014 State Wrestling Championships after going 2-1 over the two day tournament. Tyler Mahan competed as well and was 2-2 in the tournament.

Kelly Beeby promoted to head coach for the BlueJays 
It did not take long for Guthrie to find their next head football coach. The Board of Education selected Kelly Beeby to take over the high-power program. He met with his team for the first time as head coach on Tuesday. Still more to come.

Missouri holds off Cowboys in Cotton Bowl, 41-31 
DALLAS – The Oklahoma State offense struggled through the first three quarters in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Friday evening, but began to figure out the Missouri defense in the fourth quarter. However, it was too late as the Tigers clinched the game in the final minute. Read more…

Cross country runners always want their last race of the season happen in the state meet and that is exactly what happen for 9 Guthrie High School runners. He simply continues to amaze people, but for some reason we keep allowing Donte’ Foster to surprise us. All Foster has done since high school is amaze. His most recent amazement came on Saturday when he captured Ohio’s career touchdown receptions record. Read more…

Russell and Papahronis help team to championship in Dallas 

The Lady Jazz girls basketball team came back from Dallas as champions after winning the Dallas Prime Time National Championship in the third grade division. Helping their team to victory was Braydin Russell (black head band),  the daughter of Doug and Jennifer Russell, and Elle Papahronis (No. 4), the daughter of Pete and Deana Papahronis.
